Hot Dog a la Mexico – tomato, avocado and corn salsa

This is a dog that’s sure to delight even the most adamant cynic with tongue-tingling flavours.


  • 8 British Sausage Co. sausages of your choice
  • Vegetable oil
  • 8 bread rolls of your choice
  • 2 spring onions
  • 2 avocados
  • 1 cup cooked corn kernels
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • ¼ cup chopped coriander 
  • 1 lime or lemon (1.5 tablespoons of juice)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Red chilli, sliced (optional)


  1. Cook your sausages either in the pan, oven or BBQ (refer to cooking method on pack).
  2. While your sausages are cooking, create your salsa.
  3. Finely slice spring onions, dice avocado and tomatoes. Add to a bowl along with corn and coriander. Add in the juice of lime or lemon, toss ingredients and season to taste.
  4. Cut rolls down the middle, and layer your ingredients your liking.  Our recommendation is to add sausage first then add salsa on top. For the brave, add some chopped chilli!
