Air fried Sausages and Bacon for the win!

Air fried Sausages and Bacon for the win!

Let’s be honest, most of us have thrown all sorts into the air fryer. But the day you decide to pop a few butcher-quality sausages in, you realise air fryers and sausages get along rather well.

For those nights when cooking feels like a bit too much, it’s hard to argue with a good meal on the table in under 15 minutes.

Why Sausages and Bacon are air fryer royalty

Air fryers are good at a lot of things. Sausages and bacon might be their best work.

You get beautifully browned sausages, crispy bacon and a lot less washing up. Better still, dinner is on the table before you’ve had time to overthink it.

Golden sausages. Crispy bacon. Surprisingly little fuss. That’s a combination we’re very fond of.

How to cook the perfect air fryer sausage

First things first, select your sausage. Our Thick Cumberland Sausages are a fantastic place to start. Fancy something a little beefier? You’re in luck, our Beef Eaters are absolute winners.

Give your sausages a light spray of oil, pop them into the basket and set the temperature to:

  • 180°C (thick sausages)
  • 190°C (thin sausages)

Then cook for:

  • 10–12 minutes (thick sausages)
  • 10 minutes (thin sausages)

Halfway through, give the basket a gentle shake. Nothing too vigorous, just enough to let the sausages get the fair chance to turn gloriously golden.

Butcher’s Tip:
A little breathing room works wonders. Good airflow is what gives sausages that golden finish.

How to cook the perfect air fryer bacon

Whether you’re loyal to streaky bacon or prefer our meatier back bacon, both work beautifully in the air fryer. No oil required – just butcher-quality Australian bacon.

Lay the rashers into the basket and cook at:

  • 180°C (streaky bacon)
  • 190°C (back bacon)

For around:

  • 8 minutes (streaky bacon)
  • 8 minutes (back bacon)

Halfway through, give them a turn.

Butcher’s Tip:
Bacon cooks best in a single layer. A little breathing room helps every rasher crisp up evenly.

Now for the best part – deciding what to do with all those golden sausages and crispy bacon. A hearty plate of Cumberlands with mash and onion gravy? A bacon sandwich in soft white bread? A full English breakfast complete with black pudding?

Whatever’s on the menu, the rule stays the same. Start with butcher-quality ingredients and you’re already halfway there.

Proper sausages and bacon have always made life easier. The air fryer is simply catching up.
