This is a dog that’s sure to delight even the most adamant cynic with tongue-tingling flavours.
Ingredients
8 British Sausage Co. Premium Pork Sausages or your sausage of
choice
Vegetable oil
8 bread rolls (Vietnamese rolls)
Asian Slaw
2 spring onions, sliced thinly
¼ purple cabbage
1 large carrot
1 red capsicum
1 green apple
¼ cup mint, chopped
¼ cup coriander, chopped
1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds
Red chilli, sliced (optional)
Dressing
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon fish sauce
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce or 1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
Optional 1 teaspoon grated ginger
Method
BBQ, oven bake or panfry the sausages to your liking. While they are cooking.
Finely shred cabbage (approx 4 cups worth). Slice capsicum and apple and slice into thin matchsticks. Peel carrot and slice into thin matchsticks. (Alternatively you can grate carrot and apple). Place all slaw ingredients into a large bowl (including mint, coriander and toasted sesame seeds).
Mix all dressing ingredients together in a small bowl or jar, stir or shake well.
Pour dressing ingredients over slaw ingredients and toss well.
Cut rolls down the middle, add a small amount of slaw, then add cooked sausage then top with more slaw. For the brave, add some fresh cut chilli!
